Each level typically lasts 4–6 weeks. Your instructor will let you know when you're ready to move up based on control, timing, and consistency.
You'll learn salsa etiquette, body frame, hand positioning, basic steps, cross body leads, and right and left turns. No prior dance experience is needed.
Most students feel comfortable with the basics after 4–6 weeks of regular classes. You'll be social dancing confidently within a few months.
