Bachata is a romantic Latin dance from the Dominican Republic that blends rhythm, body movement, and deep partner connection. We teach Dominican, Sensual, and Urban bachata styles — starting from zero.
Build a solid foundation in bachata fundamentals:
Basic step and timing (1-2-3-tap)
Side and forward-back patterns
Basic turns and hip movement
Introduction to partner connection and frame
More expressive movement and musicality:
Body waves and isolations
Head rolls and styling techniques
Musical interpretation — dancing to the lyrics and instruments
Fusion patterns, dips, and sensual transitions
Warm-up and technique drills
Step-by-step combos and partner work
Partner rotation to build adaptability
Live feedback to help you improve fast
Each level typically lasts 4–6 weeks. Instructors will advise when you're ready to move up based on control, timing, and consistency.
We teach Dominican bachata (traditional), Sensual bachata (body movement focused), and Urban bachata (fusion). Beginners start with foundational Dominican patterns.
Bachata is often easier for beginners because the timing is more intuitive. The basic step is simpler, though sensual bachata requires more body control as you progress.
Information about advanced levels will be shared progressively as you grow with us.
